Crazy Socks for Docs was held this year on Friday 7th of June to help normalise the conversations around mental health, depression and anxiety among health professionals around the world.
Staff and doctors at Floreat Medical donned their crazy socks in a show of solidarity.
The World Health Organisation has now declared “burnout” to be an occupational phenomenon that undermines how well people perform at work. It defines it as a “syndrome conceptualised as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed”. Consequently there is a growing number of doctors who are going part-time in order to gain more work-life balance.
