Its National Diabetes week this week and its all about shining a spotlight on the accomplishments (as well as the inevitable trials and tribulations) of those who live with diabetes.
For Type 1 Diabetics living with diabetes it is a year round thing rather than a week. Its an endless process of insulin injections, finger pricks, dietary & exercise regulation and glucose monitoring. It takes a team of professionals, family members and friends to ensure the ongoing health of a Type 1 Diabetic.
Here at Floreat Medical our Doctors and Nurses play an important role in supporting patients with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes as well as those mothers suffering Gestational Diabetes during pregnancy.
