Hi I’m Dr Kevin Yong
I provide a comprehensive Family GP service and am available 5 days a week with same-day appointments every day.
I am passionate about helping you to enjoy a better life through better health. I can help you to sort out troublesome symptoms, manage long-term health conditions and create a healthy lifestyle so that you can live a longer and happier life.
I blog about healthy living because I believe that a healthy lifestyle can do more for your health and happiness than any doctor or medicine. For essential health tips and advice visit eatmovechill.com and check out my free resources.
I love being part of this community. I have lived in the area since I was a kid. I grew up shopping at the Forum, cooling off at City’s and fending off the spring magpies around Perry Lakes.
I’m a dad with 2 cheeky kids (one boy and one girl), so naturally I enjoy child and family health. When out of the office I enjoy swimming, camping, photography, and keeping fit.
After 12 years at Hale, I went on to complete my medical degree at UWA (MBBS 2000). I worked as a GP in Geraldton and surrounding communities for a couple of years during my training and I was awarded the ‘WAGPET GP Registrar of the Year Award’ in 2005 (FRACGP).
I have worked in many of the major hospitals and emergency departments in Perth and around the state (SCGH, RPH, Fremantle, Bethesda, Hollywood, Mount, Murdoch, Rockingham, Bunbury, Busselton, Geraldton) and have gained a thorough understanding of the health system in WA.
I also run an online group for over 100 health professionals in the Perth Western Suburbs. You will have access to a fantastic network of experts that I work with to optimise your care.
I am involved in medical student education and teach as a Clinical Lecturer for UWA and Notre Dame. I am a clinical examiner for Notre Dame medical school and will be involved with supervising students from the new medical school at Curtin in the coming years. I enjoy teaching and find it to be a fantastic way to stay in touch with current advances in medicine.
I’d love to meet you and get to know you. Please feel free to contact me via our practice email or my website if you have any questions about how I might be able to help. Otherwise, book an appointment via the links below and I will see you soon.
